"By default" will mean a decision by the product managers of all affected products, openSUSE as well as SLES/SLED. Gerald, can you coordinate the decision process? Yup, I've already started discussions... Michl is currently researching some developments.... Is this what's in yast2-theme-openSUSE-Oxygen? Yep, it would be :-) It looks much, much better than tango icons. So, here is the answer which hopefully will work out in terms of implementation: Let's YaST integrate as well in the GNOME desktop (including the use of icons) when running under GNOME as possible and as well in the KDE desktop (including the use of icons) when running under KDE. Does this work from an engineering perspective? no. yast code always loads "current" theme - which is defined by the last installed theme. So we can add yast2-theme-openSUSE-Oxygen to the kde4-yast pattern and then all yast users on that system will have Oxygen icons. Or we can leave it out and all yast users on that system will have tango icons. No issue on the KDE CD, but on the DVD with "KDE+GNOME" installed by quite some it is one - and I don't want the CD to install more by default - especially as it makes making screenshots even more difficult. So I would go for WONTFIX, the Oxygen package will be on all media though. Okay, fair. Please make sure the package is everywhere and then close this as you suggested. it is already |
