Description Juergen Mell 2008-02-10 08:29:12 UTC
I have two network interfaces: A RTL8169 based network card and an Atheros chipset based WLAN card. Because of the missing kernel modules, the WLAN card cannot be configured during installation.
I configured the RTL 8169 card with a static IP address (192.168.100.2) and also set a default route to 192.168.100.1 in Yast's network configuration during the installation. The internet access test failed because the default route was not set (the kernel route table did not show any default route entry). Entering a 'route add -net default gw 192.168.100.1' in a console window fixed the problem.
