Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Create a new C# console project.
2. Go to Project -> Create Package -> Tarball -> Simple MakeFiles
3. Click on "Create"


Actual Results:

The generation fails with this error:

configure: 61: Syntax error: Bad substitution

Are you still having this problem with a more recent MD version?

works for me - this bug was open for a long time - I think we can close it.
