Description Ric Wheeler 2008-02-17 14:15:34 UTC
The kernel hangs in booting after printing some messages about pci configuration. After exchanging some email with Arjan, he suggested using the pci=nommconf option and this works.

Comment 1 Ric Wheeler 2008-02-17 14:16:23 UTC
I should note that this is a personal machine running OpenSuse 11.0 alpha 2, not something related to an EMC need.
Comment 2 Greg Kroah-Hartman 2008-02-18 00:30:30 UTC
Known issue, should be solved now upstream in 2.6.25-rc2, which will be showing up in the next alpha release.
