assuming you're talking about the KDE 3.x from openSUSE 10.3, then this is a duplicate. if you're experiencing this with KDE 3.5.9 from factory, please reopen. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 355374 *** In 11.0 A2 i have: kdebase3-3.5.8-58 kdebase3-SuSE-11.0-48 kdebase4-openSUSE-11.0-9 From shell i can open the logonmanager screen, kde3 that is. There autologon is not enabled, but that does not help me much. monkey9@AMD64x2-sfn1:~> /opt/kde3/bin/kcmshell kdm X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 6 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x1c0028f X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 12 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x1c0028f X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 12 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x1c0028f X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 8 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x1c0028f X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 12 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x1c0028f X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 12 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x1c0028f X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 25 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x1c0028f X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 25 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x1c0028f X Error: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation) 2 Major opcode: 113 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x3a00006 X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 10 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x3a00006 X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 The problem is that i can not change the KDE4 logon, as i choose to automatic login at installtime. ;-( And ctrl+alt-backspace, takes me to a green screen without any options, except fill in my password :-( 10.3 monkey9@AMD64x2-sfn1:~> rpm -qa | grep kdebase kdebase3-SuSE-10.3-152 kdebase3-kdm-3.5.7-87.5 kdebase3-nsplugin-3.5.7-87.5 kdebase4-libkonq-4.0.1-14.2 kdebase4-runtime-4.0.1-4.2 kdebase3-3.5.7-87.5 kdebase3-32bit-3.5.7-87.5 kdebase4-4.0.1-18.1 kdebase4-workspace-4.0.1-77.2 kdebase4-session-4.0.1-3.1 kdebase3-beagle-3.5.7-87.5 kdebase4-workspace-plasmoids-4.0.1-3.21 kdebase3-ksysguardd-3.5.7-87.5 kdebase3-session-3.5.7-87.5 kdebase4-openSUSE-11.0-18.2 kdebase3-samba-3.5.7-87.5 monkey9@AMD64x2-sfn1:~> Will try to get the update. ;) for 11a2, this is expected then, the bug was fixed later. for 10.3, the update is still in the maintenance queue. regarding changing the kde4 logon use "logout", then in the kdm login screen choose the login mode (white text in the lower left corner, click on it) Pity, waiting seems to be 'hot' these days.. :) If there was white text.... In 10.3 the resolution is correct, but in 11.0A2 it is not due to sax2 bug.. I use widescreen 19" is "1440x900", but that resolution is not there, helas. No matter what i do, i can not reach the left lower corner. Left next to the passw. login, there is a white stripe, but that's it. |
