Current y2log information from trying to add modem
This is a clean copy of y2log showing what happens when you attempt to add a modem using Yast. 11.0A3 synced to factory as of today.
fixed in yast2-network-2.16.35 Re synced to factory, yast2-network-2.16.36-3 was installed and tested. You are still unable to add a modem through yast. Has the fixed module been put in the factory tree? Did a clean install of B1 and now it works. But, if you enter /dev/ttyUSB0 for the modem, it gets changed to /dev/ttyACM0. You have to edit the ifcfg-modem0 and change ACM to USB. Would it help to add the USB to the device selection list? please create a separate bugreport and attach yast logs |
Created attachment 196961 [details] y2log outpur from trying to add modem Trying to add USB Modem through YAST fails giving a dialog box stating: UI Syntax Error Invalid arguments for the SelectionBox widget. Check the log file. This occurs after you have defined the modem and are moving to the providers section. Modem is not created. Attached is the section from the y2log file dealing with attempting to add a modem.
