I know this isn't exactly a common use-case, but:

linux-mxbx:/home/francis # zypper se
Reading installed packages...
Segmentation fault

Only really came across it because I was thinking of a way to list all the patterns so I 'zypper se -t pattern' ...which could be convenient, but I'm not sure if you want people to really be i.e. listing all packages with a plain zypper se. *shrug*

fixed in svn, to be in zypper 0.10.3
