Description Dustin Meineke 2008-03-04 21:56:17 UTC
The Compuer menu (lower left) on GNOME shipped with openSUSE 11-Alpha 2(Kernel Version: Linux 2.6.24-pae #! SMP 2008/01/31 14:27:52 UTC i686 athlon i386 GNU/Linux) flashes then closes after clicked. The menu items are not accessible.

I have discovered a workaround to solve this with limited computability; however, it may have limited functionality.

I used the Yast Software Repositories application to add the openSUSE-10.3-DVD source and I installed GNOME version 2.21.90. It appears to function normally and allows access to the Computer menu.

I am submitting this bug so that the issue with the openSUSE-11-Alpha2 GNOME package can be addressed.

Thank you for your time,
Dustin Meineke

Please note: I had initially installed with the default KDE4 system. Some additional features were installed but no other windows managers.

Does it still happen? I believe it has been fixed.

No response in more than two weeks, assuming it was the main menu crashing bug.
