Firefox (and any other XUL application) needs to be able to identify compatible GREs by checking the architecture of the installed GREs on biarch platforms.

We might ship mozilla-xulrunner190 and mozilla-xulrunner190-32bit and therefore XUL applications can be used in either 32bit or 64bit flavours but they wouldn't find the right GRE automatically. It would only work by accident.
