There's now an an appropriate LED patch for this in the kernel tree: http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/rchatre/iwlwifi-2.6.git;a=commit;h=ec2ce7fc7890b37d564a274513d8d99ed4edb9ac I don't know what kernel openSUSE 11.0 will ship with, but is there a chance, that this patch will be backported to the kernel openSUSE 11.0 final kernel? 11.0 will go with a 2.6.25 kernel. Ass this is a very large patch, it probably will not work for our release. If a smaller, more non-intrusive change does go in, please let us know. Also, we are considering providing updated kernel packages in the future, so it might just be a matter of waiting until the 2.6.26 kernel comes out before support for this will happen. *** Bug 394188 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 393811 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 387069 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** mass reopening of later+remind bugs of 11.0 *** Bug 403984 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Closin again as per comment #2 > Also, we are considering providing updated kernel packages in the future, so it > might just be a matter of waiting until the 2.6.26 kernel comes out before > support for this will happen. I just tested with the Kernel of the day (KOTD) from the repository http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Kernel:/HEAD/openSUSE_Factory/. IT WORKS NOW!!! :-) But the problem is, in this repository there are no packages for all the other kernel modules that are available for the 2.6.25 kernel. Is there any update on the consideration of providing the updated kernel packages you mentioned? it works with compat-wireless http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Download |
