Description Rastislav Krupansky 2008-03-25 21:19:48 UTC
I removed inactive or unused icons from desktop. But what a surprise, when i changed my wallpaper.Removed icons weren't deleted, but they appeared again. Then i removed them again. But after next change of wallpaper, they appeared again.
And this issue still repeats.

I think the reason is, that icons are now plasmoids. If you remove an plasmoid-icon from the desktop, the corresponding .desktop file is NOT deleted in your ~/Desktop/ folder. That's why they reappear when you change the wallpaper or restart plasma.

Same underlying problem (no proper ~/Desktop with Plasma desktop synchronization) as the other bug report.
