I installed NetworkManager-novellvpn-gnome and its dependencies, but it fails to activate from nm-applet.

/var/log/NetworkManager says this:

Mar 26 14:45:49 cacharro NetworkManager: <info>  VPN service 'org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.novellvpn' exec scheduled...
Mar 26 14:45:50 cacharro NetworkManager: <info>  VPN service 'org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.novellvpn' executed (org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.novellvpn), PID 14023
Mar 26 14:45:52 cacharro NetworkManager: <info>  VPN service 'org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.novellvpn' did not start in time, cancelling connections


And running nm-novellvpn-service by hand makes it exit with this error:

** (process:14287): WARNING **: <WARNING>	 nm_novellvpn_dbus_init (): Could not acquire the dbus service.  dbus_bus_request_name() says: 'Connection ":1.95" is not allowed to own the service "org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.novellvpn" due to security policies in the configuration file'

Marking this as Critical since it's pretty hard to work without the VPN :)

I think I have a quiet similar bug for vpnc see bug #372141
