Description Volker Kuhlmann 2008-03-29 10:04:47 UTC
When installing A3 on a system which already has Linux installed, I don't want A3 to install its own boot loader and mess everything up for the other Linux (esp when grub installation doesn't work most of the time anyway).

Selecting "don't install boot loader" in the installation summary, I start the installation. A partition is duely formatted, but about when the first package is installed yast crashes. It's too fast to read the message, yast restarts in text mode. After setting everything up again, crash at the same place. I then do set up a grub installation with a manually fixed menu.lst, and the crash doesn't happen.

Note this is only my best guess as to what action causes the crash, I might be completely wrong. Yast log attached.
