Description Willem Meens 2008-03-30 17:18:55 UTC
After a fresh install the Gnome panels are set to a different resolution than is set for the desktop.
The installation was done a a Dell Latitude D520 laptop (Alpha 2 also has this issue)

Desktop resolution is set to 1400x1050 while GNOME panels stay on 1024x768

Workaround is to edit /etc/sysconfig/displaymanager and remark out entry:
DISPLAYMANAGER_RANDR_MODE_auto="1024x768x60 64.11 1024 1080 1184 1344 768 769 772 795 -HSync +VSync" and restart X.
