Description Willem Meens 2008-03-30 17:31:44 UTC
When installing Alpha 3 I discovered the password algorithm has defaulted to blowfish. This in itself is not I problem and I suspect the choice is made due to the recent MD5 collision issues.

There is one undesired side effect with the new setup: longer passwords (more than 8 chars) are not possible and get truncated? I don't think people will like this and that is why I'm reporting it.

Is this specific to blowfish or something that can be altered?

Cheers,
  Willem

P.s. Loving the progress with the new installer!!
