Description Andreas Schneider 2008-04-03 14:34:05 UTC
Today I wanted to do a dist upgrade with zypper. So I did a

z ref
z dup

which gave me a lot of error messages due to the rpm update. I had to manually upgrade rpm first before I could update the rest. This should be addressed by the dist-upgrade option of zypper.

not sure if that is worth it. We would need to fix the old zypper not the new.
Comment 2 Andreas Schneider 2008-07-17 14:08:38 UTC
I've reported it for an alpha version. So if we change something like rpm payload again, zypper should handle it. Fix it for 11.1.
Comment 3 Stefan Schubert 2008-10-03 12:42:48 UTC
The distupgrade mechanism has been changed completely for 11.1 (replaced by the SAT solver). So I close that bug.
