Description Gerald Pfeifer 2008-04-09 13:09:34 UTC
Running KNetworkManager from current FACTORY (STABLE, actually), I get
the following output which is confusing.

  % knetworkmanager
  NMSettings::NMSettings
  ListCOnnections

Avoiding this will make the product look more polished.
Comment 1 Helmut Schaa 2008-04-10 14:48:14 UTC
Absolutely correct.
I have to remove the debug-output once I check in a new snapshot.
Comment 4 Gerald Pfeifer 2008-10-21 15:39:44 UTC
Sorry, this still occurs with Beta 3. In fact, it became quite worse:

NMSettings::NMSettings
restore setting: ConnectionSetting_BGUfPR8kTShuKQ1E_connection
restore setting: ConnectionSetting_BGUfPR8kTShuKQ1E_ipv4
restore setting: ConnectionSetting_BGUfPR8kTShuKQ1E_802-11-wireless
restore setting: ConnectionSetting_BGUfPR8kTShuKQ1E_802-11-wireless-security
WirelessSecurity::fromMap
restore setting: ConnectionSetting_BGUfPR8kTShuKQ1E_802-1x
IEEE8021x::fromMap
restore secret: ConnectionSecrets_BGUfPR8kTShuKQ1E_802-11-wireless-security
WirelessSecurity::fromMap
restore setting: ConnectionSetting_GTgmxMZ1L7eXE7Hv_connection
restore setting: ConnectionSetting_GTgmxMZ1L7eXE7Hv_ipv4
restore setting: ConnectionSetting_GTgmxMZ1L7eXE7Hv_802-11-wireless
:
and quite more...

Note: this only occurs if KNetworkManager is not running yet.

11.1 Beta3, yes?

Can you explain that a bit more detailed?
The initial problem looked like KNM issue, the second like NM itself.

(Sorry, my expert is involuntarily off until November. I'm just trying to clean up MD bug list.)

Yes.

On a system where KNM is not running yet (nm-applet may be running or
not, this does not make any difference) start KNM from the command-line.

This will provide those many lines of debugging output.

KNetworkManager for KDE3 is not maintained any longer. Therefore I resolve all bugs that are still open as WONTFIX without looking at each single bug report.
If this bug deals already with KDE4 and is still in progress, then please apologize the mistake and feel free to reopen it.
