Created attachment 208474 [details] /var/log/boot.msg When booting current FACTORY, my T41p hangs for a few seconds at one point apparently waiting for some timeouts from fd0. This does not happen with 10.3 on the same machine. The boot log contains: <6>Floppy drive(s): fd0 is 1.44M <6>FDC 0 is a National Semiconductor PC87306 <3>end_request: I/O error, dev fd0, sector 0 <3>end_request: I/O error, dev fd0, sector 0 <3>Buffer I/O error on device fd0, logical block 0 <3>end_request: I/O error, dev fd0, sector 0 <3>Buffer I/O error on device fd0, logical block 0 Not sure why anything would try to access a floppy, and it's entirely possible this is not a kernel issue, but it's hard to tell from here. :-(
