Description Dave Plater 2008-04-17 12:56:12 UTC
I upgraded zypper from zypper-0.10.6-2.i586 to 0.11.0-3.i586 and yast2-qt-pkg yast2-gtk yast2-ncurses-pkg yast2-pkg-bindings libzypp and satsolver-tools were also upgraded. After upgrade yast2 sw_single gives the following error :- /usr/lib/YaST2/bin/y2base: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/YaST2/plugin/libpy2Pkg.so.2: undefined symbol: _Z18should_be_bufferedv
Downgrading zypper etc takes yast back to it's previous state (see bug 380385).

Full yast2 upgrade fixed the problem. Its a pity the dependencies didn't upgrade the necessary packages automaticaly. Yast is looking better and better, nearly ready, hope beta1 doesn't have dependency problems.
Comment 4 Martin Vidner 2008-04-18 15:07:01 UTC
Ugh, that is my fault as I did not change the library version when updating yast2-core.
Jirka, it is not related to libzypp.
Comment 5 Dave Plater 2009-02-20 09:03:38 UTC
Shouldn't this bug be closed or is it open to be reused if it occurs again?
Comment 6 Martin Vidner 2010-11-02 15:20:03 UTC
Actually I kept it open probably in relation to bug 381917, which has now died.
Anyway, the original bug is fixed.
