hmm, no idea Well, if simply calling SuSEconfig fixes the problem then /etc/sysconfig/security must be correct and yast or whatever program you used for updating didn't call SuSEconfig. Please attach yast logs. Created attachment 209255 [details]

FYI: Installation was done with the install kernel/initrd as grub menu entry, packages etc. retrieved via network (nfs) source.
there is no indication that suseconfig was run at all AFAICS. reassigning to yast maintainers. ... well, SuSEConfig is called after installation is finished (by init scripts) but I'll add it to the automatic configuration. - Enabling inst_suseconfig in Automatic configuration (bnc #381751) yast2-installation-2.16.39 |
