Description Martin Valov 2008-04-25 12:52:11 UTC
I was expecting a list with repositories from the Internet but the CD/DVD drive was the only one. However I tried to install the two packages - "gcc" and "kernel-sources" but there was an error which says the DVD drive could not be found. When I hit the "Retry" button I have to choose whether or not to install any more packages. So at the end I don`t have the packages installed after all.

I find it hard to figure out what you tried to do here, and what happened. Please elaborate. And also please attach y2logs. See also

I think that this was an one-time problem but still I can`t understand what was wrong. In all my newer installations there wasn`t a problem with the repositories and the software management module of YaST.

Since this was reported against FACTORY, this might simply have been an inconsistent build or some library not as binary compatible as it should be.
