rtfm ;) In ifcfg(5) you will find STARTMODE=nfsroot BTW: new maintainer of sysconfig is Marius Tomaschewski its not invalid. yast2 partition has now a nfs button. sp2 is likely broken as well. Why is sysconfig broken, just because yast2 has any button. Do you want that YaST should automatically sets STARTMODE=nfsroot? Olaf, I don't understand what you want. Christian, the yast2 partitioner has now the option to install onto a nfsserver. I think it makes sense that such an installation should work out of the box. If changing some sysconfig variable is required to achieve that network is up all the time, someone (not the admin) has to change the variable to the correct value. So why don't you ask the YaST experts? All we need on network setup side is: STARTMODE=nfsroot in the right interface configuration file. According to bug #176804 this should already be handled in yast2-network. YaST logs from 1.st stage of installation, please. And what's STARTMODE value? they have startmode onboot Created attachment 214589 [details] bug384420.tar.bz2 Accepting bug re comment #6: yast tested only for iscsi, not nfs (iscsi is disk, nfs is only filesystem - not included in "hwinfo --disk" output). So I need to add this functionality fixed in yast2-2.16.66 broken in beta3+ fixed in yast2-2.16.69 |
