Description Federico Mena Quintero 2008-04-30 13:40:54 UTC
I installed openSUSE 11 Beta1 while a USB mouse was plugged in. After installation, the touchpad on my Thinkpad T41p has these features working:

* The red joystick works
* All the mouse buttons work
* Dragging on the right edge of the touchpad works as a scrollwheel

However, the touchpad itself doesn't work as a mouse. If I drag on the touchpad, the pointer doesn't move.

Sax2 correctly says that I have a Synaptics Touchpad, but it doesn't let me configure any aspect of the touchpad -- all the controls remain disabled. I'll attach a screenshot.

I think this is a duplicate.
