Description Forgotten User Drfk9mafMw 2008-05-10 13:25:58 UTC
The booting stops with a black screen and a dead computer after trying to create a proper xorg-config on an i855GM laptop.

Booting into runlevel 3 only and using sax2 works nicely, though!

Trying to install the Live image to disk also fails when the installer tries to automatically create an xorg.conf. Question: why does it try at all, when the system is already up and running with one? Copying should be enough here, shouldn't it?

Hard power down was necessary! After several attempts, the installer managed to create a working (though not perfect!) xorg.conf...
