afaik we intentionally don't create any modelines for the vmware driver as they were ignored anyway. Stefan ? Sorry, I didn't read the initial comment carefully, which says that modelines do not help. David, could you attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log and the output of 'xrandr'? Thanks. Added requested files The xrandr output looks a bit strange, i.e. I don't believe you can switch to a resolution higher than 1280x800, although the output claims this would be possible. Apart from this the issue doesn't look like a X.Org/driver problem at all. It's just a duplicate of Bug #391800. You can verify this by simply chosing another desktop like Gnome, KDE3, xfce or failsafe for your Xsession. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 391800 *** |
