Description Albrecht Mehl 2008-05-27 05:43:15 UTC
A problem with conflicting suspend to disk and connection to the net was just successfully solved in bugzilla 389643. One important point for solving the problem was the question whether there is dsl on my system or not. It finally turned out that there is and that I had used this term erroneously due to my ignorance and also due to the wrong usage of this term in yast2. There in

  Netzwerkgeräte

one can enter under the title dsl the provider information. But this should as a very knowledgable guy told me only be done if authenticication is required.
If there is a router then there must be no information at all there. At this
point in yast2 the wrong term dsl is used instead of the correct one

  connections requiring authent. or so

Maybe this long term cannot be used as is ... but it least in the help lines
at the left there should a clear indication of what is meant and in which cases information must be entered or not.

This is documented in openSUSE printed/online documentation and we will not fix it in source code.
However, any patches for helps are welcome
