Description Sebastian Zschernig 2008-05-30 13:04:47 UTC
The opensuse-online-updater looks like the usual yast-installer but sorts the rpms by default in the group "patches" which is only clear.
But I miss the filter "patches" in the usual yast-installer! Please
include/provide it there too.

Press F2.

Strictly speaking, it's there for debugging only, so no warranty; but it's there.
Comment 2 Sebastian Zschernig 2008-05-30 13:47:09 UTC
Fine, it's there really. Thank you for the hint. (But why it's "hidden"?)
Comment 3 Stefan Hundhammer 2008-05-30 14:13:07 UTC
Because it's a debugging feature, and because the package selector is already so complex that it's easy to become overwhelmed by all the choices.
Comment 4 Sebastian Zschernig 2008-05-30 14:40:32 UTC
I think, it would be good and I don't see the danger of getting overwhelmed by the additional choice "patches".

Especially because the opensuse-online-updater closes automatically after installing while the usual yast-installer afterwards asks, if one wants to install more packages.
Comment 5 Stefan Hundhammer 2008-06-02 09:38:19 UTC
Maybe you wouldn't. But others would.

The original issue is still FIXED.
