Description Gary Cobb 2008-05-31 10:53:28 UTC
Is it possible for the KDE4 Personal Settings, in particular the date formats, to populate the kdeglobals for KDE3 as well as KDE4? In my case, I use kmymoney2 to manage my church accounts and need to report to our Elders with the proper date format. I used the KDE4 Personal Settings application, but kmymoney2 is a KDE3 app and the dates were still using system defaults. I found an old KDE3 kdeglobals file from kubuntu 8.04 and copied it into my openSUSE 11 system and all is well. I searched for the "kcontrol" rpm for KDE3 and couldn't find it in any available repository -- am I just missing something?

Overall I have really come to like version 11 very much! I've been testing since Beta2 and am planning to make the switch on my production system from kubuntu as soon as you go GA.

Thanks for reading!
Gary

KControl is in package kdebase3 (the package manager in Yast2 can find it if you search for it and check the 'RPM provides' checkbox).
