Captain, didn't you have some similiar problem? *** Bug 393905 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Sorry, I've added my comment to the other bug :-( Regarding bug #393905 I wanted to clarify that in my case is a x86 and without open any other application than gnome. I decided to test it on a VBOX also, and encountered the same issue. So I started to play with the running process and found out that it could be closely related to beagled-helper. As soon gnome started I opened the monitor, after a while beagled-helper 'eat' the cpu and the system froze. So the next time, I killed beagled ASAP and all works just fine! Removed beagled and restarted. The system is working. I have to test it also on my test box (not virtualized), but I'm sure this is the cause. BTW: Coolo, did you ask for info to Captain and forgot to cc him? Mircea, can you confirm if removing beagled works for you? Are you using reiser? Yes, I do. Please attach /etc/fstab. /dev/disk/by-id/scsi-SATA_HDS722516VLAT20_VN641ECDD2HE9D-part1 swap swap defaults 0 0 /dev/disk/by-id/scsi-SATA_Maxtor_6E040L0_E1JAJBGE-part2 / reiserfs acl,user_xattr 1 1 proc /proc proc defaults 0 0 sysfs /sys sysfs noauto 0 0 debugfs /sys/kernel/debug debugfs noauto 0 0 usbfs /proc/bus/usb usbfs noauto 0 0 devpts /dev/pts devpts mode=0620,gid=5 0 0 So user_xattr are there. I've been unable to duplicate this in a VM with the live CD install. Trying a DVD install now. Coolo, yes, my bug is https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=389656 Jeff, JP thinks this is only reproducible with reiserfs, can you please have a look? *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 389656 *** (In reply to comment #6 from Sergio Gabriel) > Mircea, can you confirm if removing beagled works for you? > No it's not this. Beagled works fine for me. (In reply to comment #7 from JP Rosevear) > Are you using reiser? > Yes , I'm using reiser . |
