My hwinfo
I can confirm this bug, The message says the sound interface [insert your SC here] has failed, falling back to esound. All my music, videos and Internet videos still produce sound, But I'm pretty sure I do lose system sounds....I can not confirm steps to reproduce as it seems random. An easy way to replicate this crash is to quickly cycle through the various desktops in the pager applet. This will always result in the phonon sound crash. Unfortunately this is occuring more often in RC2Plus AMD64 KDE. I am finding that 90% of the time on user login the login event sound causes the Phonon crash message to occur. Is pulseaudio running in your KDE4 session? ps ax | grep -i pulse output: 4977 ? Ssl 0:00 /usr/bin/pulseaudio --log-target=syslog -Lmodule-esound-compat-spawnfd fd=51 I can reproduce this when triggering many kopete brief notifications together. No pulseaudio. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 387406 *** |
