Sorry, I do not understand. Somewhere in the report should be "second" instead of "first". And what do you mean that it is "possible to go from "users" to "root password""? In both first and second stage you can go back (in workflow) to the root Password dialog. In both cases, you have to fill that password again, because going back to the dialog nulls the password already set. Back in workflow just by clicking [Back]... You are (In reply to comment #2 from Lukas Ocilka) > In both first and second stage you can go back (in workflow) to the root > Password dialog. You are probably right about the second stage, but in first stage it works for me: I'm going back from Installation Summary and root's password is set correctly. So how did it happen for you? I think the 2nd stage problem it is not worth fixing now (in fact, it was there for quite some releases and until now nobody complained) but for 11.0. > Back in workflow just by clicking [Back]... Hm, funny ... Updated: only second stage is affected (as written in summary), sorry for the noise. About the second stage, even if some of those [Back] buttons will be disabled (other bug), if root password dialog is available in Second Stage, user should be able to go back to that dialog. (In reply to comment #4 from Lukas Ocilka) > About the second stage, even if some of those [Back] buttons will be disabled > (other bug), if root password dialog is available in Second Stage, user should > be able to go back to that dialog. I didn't write it is not a bug, but that it is not worth fixing for 11.0 (considering also that this is an old behavior). fixed in svn |
Created attachment 219534 [details] YaST logs It's possible not to enter the root and first-user passwords in first stage so they (dialogs) are both in first stage. It's possible to go from "users" to "root password" but the entered information is lost and I have to always enter the password again. I think that the same behavior is also in first stage, always lost. Please, make it remember the root password.
