Leadtek Winfast 2000XP Expert
Administrator Settings, Hardware, TV Card, Edit, Leadtek, Winfast 2000XP Expert, Tuner:No tuner is available for the selected card.
Therefor KDETV can't handle this card - all three options which appear at start are inactive
Comment 1 Uwe Gansert 2008-06-09 13:17:21 UTC
not autoyast related
Comment 2 Lubos Lunak 2008-06-11 14:13:50 UTC
This is either yast or kernel.
Comment 3 Ladislav Slezák 2008-06-13 13:13:39 UTC
Um, I found the reason: "Leadtek Winfast 2000XP Expert" uses cx88xx driver which doesn't have assigned the tuner database.

But why are you configuring the card manually? Automatic configuration doesn't work? You can force automatic configuration by removing the config (press [Delete]) and configuring again (press [Edit).

New tuner database

Here is the updated tuner database. Replace /usr/share/YaST2/data/tv_tuners.ycp with this file. Tuner selection should work then.

Please, test the new tuner database.
Does the automatic configuration work properly?

It is now working in Yast, i can configure it and scan for channels but this is not it. Kdetv still starts without ability of searching for channels. I found some trick how to cheat it:settings, channel editor, new, source:television.
It needn't to be a real channel which is broadcasted, also tv standard is unimportand. If i do something like that channel wizard is working:"vbi decoder is running" is red but "video plugin..." and "ok to scan" are green and searching for channels is possible. Of course there's no txt. However if you delete all channels then wizard will not work - all three items will be red. So i think channel wizard of Kdetv works only if there it at least one channel saved, it isn't normal behaviour. As an attachment output from kdetv started in terminal.
