Description Felix Möller 2008-06-15 08:03:07 UTC
kwin and and knotify crash quiet often for me, I do not yet know how to reproduce.

But it does happen when checking for updates with the opensuse-updater-kde or configuring kteatime I think.

The backtraces are attached.

kwin and knotify allways crash together.

A fix for the crash on window close has been already added to kdebase4-workspace in STABLE ('Tue Jun 17 15:23:23 CEST 2008 - llunak@suse.cz - fix possible kwin crash on window close').

I don't see how the knotify crash could be relevant to it.

Can you please provide the knotify backtrace again with debuginfo also for xine?
Comment 5 Felix Möller 2008-06-20 15:30:12 UTC
The two crashes appear for me allways in the same moment.

I just did "zypper in xine-lib-debuginfo" and will report back. But today I will not be using the machine alot so it might take a day or two.

here is the new backtrace. I triggered it with selecting and dragging some text in Firefox.
