Hardware description:

 Portable HP 8230, Opensuse B3 installed via USB disk.
 Before, no problems with Opensuse 11.0 B2.

 Started up to KDE (3.5), no problem. 
 You can start programs but after +/- 1 minute working everything blocks.
 No errors because the keyboard, mouse .. don't work anymore.
 Power off/ on, again the same situation, but the third time I could work
 without the system blocks.
 (Tested with KDE3 + Gnome - same problem.)

are you using reiserfs on one of your parititons?

Yes, I'm using reiserfs. (all partitons)

  No problems after installing EXT3 file system.
