Description Reinhold Jordan 2008-06-16 13:10:44 UTC
Select "patterns" mode, click on "Graphics" and "Do Not Install". "Graphics" is then marked as "Keep"

But if you select "All in This List -> Do Not Insall" it works.

Other patterns like "Miscellaneous Server" can never set to "Do Not Install"

Please attach y2logs. If you are in doubt follow:

Thanks!

I have this problem during installation. How can I run save_y2logs at this time?

And I see dependences of patterns as possible reason. If I mark "Graphics" with "All in This List -> Do Not Insall", "X" and "KDE" are also unselected.

In this case I would expect a message like "package XY is needed by Z" but not differend actions on "Do Not Install"

During installation, you can switch to 2nd console (Ctrl+Alt+F2), where you have a shell, You can then tar-up the logs and copy them to a persistent storage (e.g. a USB stick, which you need to mount).

Can your problem be caused by inter-pattern dependencies? Does setting a pattern to 'Taboo' solve the problem?

Yes, I think it is caused by inter-pattern dependencies. And setting a
pattern to 'Taboo' seems to solve the problem.

But again, in this case I would expect a message like "package XY is needed by Z" but not different actions on "Do Not Install"
