I got the same problem on my Latitude D520, At first the touchpad works, but clearly unusable.. The area in wich my horizontal scroll reacts is to big. The circular scroll thing.. Makes it even worse.. And no vertical scroll. What ever I do.. I can not get my vert-scroll to work. I posted the following fix at the opensuse forums: http://forums.opensuse.org/hardware/laptop/386687-touchpad-troubles-dell-latitude-d520-opensuse-11-0-a.html#post1822863 I guess the main issue I had with my Vertical Scroll not working was the RightEdge part of xorg.conf was set to high. *** Bug 402720 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Fixed in SVN, Factory and openSUSE build service, project SaX2. sax2.changes: ------------------------------------------------------------------- Fri Jun 27 17:00:13 CEST 2008 - sndirsch@suse.de - reverted r1619, which broke the VerticalScroll support for a lot of ALPS touchpads (bnc #401661) - added alps-macbook profile and use it for Macbook ALPS touchpad (bnc #250427) *** Bug 401967 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Just a note that the SaX2 project has no 11.0 repository. Thanks. Fixed now. Will take some time once the packages have been built. *** Bug 403433 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
Created attachment 223064 [details] xorg.conf Installed clean 11.0 on Dell Latitude D630 (Alps touchpad) and it's default setup is basically unusable, I need to take special care to touch it the way to produce any movement (not sure which setting it is), side scrolling also does not work.
