There are some plans to have a way for applications which require open ports to request them from the firewall software. However, this will happen in the future; it can't be easily fixed right now. I'll keep this open as an enhancement. *** Bug 200772 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** The version with which you requested the enhancement is now obsolete.
