Description Mark Condic 2008-06-20 11:59:47 UTC
During a new installation, in expert mode, in fstab, I check:

[X]device name

When grub generates menu.lst is still uses device id instead.

After the first reboot, the boot fails with GRUB on

I created four partitions:
sda1GB swap
9GB /
4GB /webpages
4GB /home

By the way, because I like to use clonezilla to backup and restore my installation, I like to use exact sizes on my partitions. +M or +GB does not give enough information. It would be nice to see the starting and ending blocks or sectors, or Gib instead of G.

I am going to reformat the disk and try again to see if I can describe this better.
