I found the problem: /usr/share/cups/model/HP/HP-PhotoSmart_C5200-hpijs.ppd.gz was missing. I copied that over from my 10.3 partition and yast succeeded. The hplip package is missing. 'Try selecting the printer model again' is a misleading error message. There was nothing wrong with the model selection. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 387226 *** I am not sure, this is really a duplicate of 387226. My proposed fix is: - have yast reach out and install hplip when it detects an HP-printer. or - include hplip in default pattern. One additional note: - With a fresh installation of 11.0 I no longer get an popups when connecting the printer cable. See bug #388149. |
