Description Steffen Doster 2008-06-25 10:36:50 UTC
I installed the freshly downloaded openSuSE 11.0 on my Dell Inspiron 6400 Notebook.
My Intel Wireless 3945ABG is recognised by the System, but is not working.
The NetworkManager shows the wlan0 Device, but there are no WLAN-Accesspoints in the list.
A manual configuration in YaST2 also makes no connection to my Network.
I searched the web for an answer, but i only found many others with the same problem.
It seems, that the Driver is broken.
Not even the WiFi-LED is on or blinking. Its always off even while System-start.

Sorry for my english, I hope you can understand me. ;-)

OK, I don't know why, but that was my way to solve the Problem:
The first Installation I runned was from a normal downloaded DVD-ISO for x86_64.
In this Installation I wasn't able to start my Wireless Card.
I Made a new Installation form a Network Image and TADAAAAAAAAAAA! It worked.
So thanks for the answer and sorry for the work.

That's why I love Linux. Some problems fix themselfes. (was that correct english?)
