Description B Bloechl 2008-06-25 17:11:35 UTC
When I try to configure my Scanner (Plustek Optic-Slim 1200) by YAST2/Hardware/scanner it is impossible to do and the window freezes and will be reported as inactive by the system with the usual question close ...etc. after some time. That is reproducible, but I could not crosscheck with another scanner model.

(I installed the same scanner under openSUSE 10.3 32-bit version without any problems, beside the point, that drivers must be present in /usr/local/share/sane/gt68xx/ instead of the directory /usr/share/sane/gt68xx/ as it is reported in some manuals and as it seems to be the proper place in other linuxes. One has to move the driver to that proper directory "by hand". May be this is another irregularity?)

Regards

Bernhard
