Description Ciaran Farrell 2008-06-26 13:20:02 UTC
When a calendar event arrives in kmail (e.g. meeting), it shows the start time of the meeting in utc, not localtime, even though the timezone is correctly set in kOrganizer (in my case kOrganizer displays Europe/Berlin).

In this particular case, the meeting was pulled from Groupwise IMAP. In the Groupwise web client the time is correctly displayed (i.e. the localtime).

Can you please try to update to KDE 4.1.1 Factory to help test this. http://en.opensuse.org/KDE/Repositories#KDE_4.1_Factory_Development

cfarrell@paddy:~/src> kontact --version
Qt: 4.4.0
KDE: 4.1.1 (KDE 4.1.1) "release 31.3"
Kontact: 1.3

The problem still exists, and I double-checked to make sure that my KDE settings are for Germany.

Just to re-state the situation, a calendar entry arrives via mail, in an imap 'calendar' folder. The time displayed in the calendar is always UTC - which in my case makes it look as though the meeting takes place 2 hours earlier (ie localtime = utc + 2 hours).

I'm working on a fix for this for 11.1 at 441022 already.
