when selecting the option to save all attachments in kmail a special file dialog appears (ie a different one than when saving a single attachment). That dialog blocks for ages. Stracing kmail shows that it stats each and every home directory. In an environment where hundreds of home directories exist and they are mounted via autofs that results in hundreds of nfs mounts.
