Description Christopher Stender 2008-07-09 06:59:25 UTC
According to
http://www.novell.com/documentation/opensuse110/opensuse110_startup/index.html?page=/documentation/opensuse110/opensuse110_startup/data/sec_y2_userman_special.html

it should be possible to create an encrypted home directory in Yast with the following steps: Open Yast2 -> User and Group Management -> Edit existing User -> Details -> activate "Use encrypt home directory".

Is this feature implemented? I can't find this option on my system (see attached screenshot).

Don't you have enabled also authentication via fingerprint reader? It is not possible to have both, fingerprint authentication and encrypted home directory.

Otherwise, please attach yast2 log files.

Well, you're right - fingerprint reader was activated. Sorry for the noise.
