Description johan botha 2008-07-09 12:41:13 UTC
I have a HP Compaq nw8000 notebook with an Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 2.00GHz processor. I think it is supposed to support PAE, and during installation, the PAE kernel is selected, but at if you boot up after installation, the kernel panics with the messages that it requires PAE extensions on the CPU.
Works with default kernel.

That seems like a wrong detection in YaST2.

Ping? You can use the installation CD/DVD for booting in rescue mode.
