firefox bugreport

Once I was opening netpages on tabs, firefox crahed. See attached bug-report
Comment 1 Wolfgang Rosenauer 2008-07-11 08:47:12 UTC
First please use meaningful summaries.
It doesn't help if all Firefox crashes are named "Firefox crash".

Second, those Gnome crash reports are more than useless.

Third, please describe as much as possible what you did, which version of Firefox you have installed and just as much as possible.

And check that as well:
http://en.opensuse.org/Bugs:mozilla

Thanks

Comment 4 Marko Suo-Anttila 2008-07-11 09:06:02 UTC
Sorry about the poor summaries and reports, I'm new with UNIX, SUSE and all these non-automated bug reports. I try to improve my skills all the time.

Hopefully this will help a bit

I can reproduce the crash with Firefox 3 on 11.0 but not on 10.3 with the above URL.
Looking into it.

That proves that Adobe Flash is crashing :-(
I fear there is nothing we can do about it.
Comment 7 Magnus Boman 2008-07-11 11:09:50 UTC
Interesting. I don't see the crash here on openSUSE 11.0 (x86_64);

mboman@linux-2ztj:~> rpm -q MozillaFirefox
MozillaFirefox-3.0-0.2

mboman@linux-2ztj:~> rpm -qa|grep -i flash
libflashsupport-000-67.1
flash-player-9.0.124.0-10.1
Comment 8 Wolfgang Rosenauer 2008-07-11 11:25:11 UTC
I've checked on i586. Could be that the nspluginwrapper indirection "fixes" the crash since flash doesn't run in Firefox process space in that case if I understand nspluginwrapper right. I can check later on my x86-64 system.
Comment 9 Hubert Figuiere 2009-01-28 22:21:52 UTC
-> to the Flash package maintainer.
