By default, Kopete Instant Messenger always shows incoming messages as Pop Up Notification even if it's window is active,

And adding insult to the injury these Pop Up messages are not disappearing automatically.

I think i don't need to show how to reproduce this bug as it is the default behavior.


Expected Behavior.

Kopete should only display incoming messages as Pop Up notifications only when it's window is not highlighted or it's window is not in Active state

Fixed in KDE 4.1, cannot be backported due to string freeze.  Please update to KDE 4.1 when released.

Even though you might have fixed this bug in KDE 4.1, 
KDE 4.1 won't be back ported officially for Opensuse 11.0,
Opensuse 11.0 officially supports KDE 4.0 only,
So i have to wait for Opensuse 11.1 to get rid off this bug :(
