After upgrading all the KDE 4 PIM apps to 4.0.98 the identities and accounts set up in older versions are not shown but still work.  While this is just a minor figured I still should report it.  I am using KDE 4.0.4 instead of 4.1 Beta 2, I don't know if this works under 4.1 beta 2 or not.
