Description John Bailo 2008-07-31 17:54:43 UTC
On a new install, I was not able to get YaST to save my nameserver IP address in the Network Services, Network Devices module. If I manually added a nameserver in resolv.conf it was blanked out on reboot.

The error is documented in the openSuse forums here:

http://forums.opensuse.org/install-boot-login/391329-cant-add-nameserver-new-installation.html

Other users have documented the problem as well.

Is that NetworkManager issue?

Yes, could not get NetworkManager to save the nameserver (DNS) settings.
