Since we have cups-autoconfig I wonder if the new YaST printer setup module really needs to do any automated queue setup at all. Shouldn't we better let one single automated setup tool do it than running more of them simultaneously and introduce a lot of issues to keep them in sync? cups problem fixed in yast2-printer-2.17.15 *** Bug 425224 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 427064 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
Created attachment 234310 [details] yast log files of the second stage The cups daemon does not start during 2nd stage of the installation. Because of this in the printer screen you get an: ERROR: No proposal When selecting the printer link you get to the screen and YaST asks if it should start cups. When accepting this proposal it waits for cups to start but seems to not detect when cups is running (as it counts done while waiting for it to start). When pressing OK manually (after about ten seconds) cups is already running and YaST displays a variety of printers.
